authorSTREAM Premium Services Released – Suite of Advanced Features for Presenters

authorSTREAM just released Premium services today with a host of advanced options for presenters. Presenters can now upgrade their accounts to either Premium Plus, or Premium Pro memberships to enjoy a bunch of new benefits such as access to presentation statistics, increased private presentation uploads, more channel capacity, embed customization, ad-free presentations and videos, Flash presentation downloads, and even making money with Google AdSense revenue sharing on presentations.

Benefits for end users

Here is an example of how benefits vary within membership types:

A normal authorSTREAM user can create a video for free, with a maximum length of 5 minutes. If you want more duration, you will have to buy video credits, which cost 2 dollars each. One single video credit will allow you to create a video up to 45 minutes.

If you upgrade your account to a Premium Plus one, then you will receive 5 video credits for the month, and pay for the sixth one. But if you upgrade to a Premium Pro one, then you will receive unlimited video credits, which means that you can create as many videos as you want of up to 45 minutes.

This is just one of the advantages from a suite of premium features. See the full membership comparison chart.

Upgrading and downgrading memberships

The Premium service can be subscribed/unsubscribed-to in a very user-friendly and simple way. Members can upgrade and downgrade their authorSTREAM premium accounts whenever they want to. By downgrading, members can ensure that they will not be charged for the next monthly billing cycle. For example, if you are a free account user, and you upgrade your account to a Premium Plus one, but only want to keep it for a month, you will be able to downgrade it after that period with no issues. 1. I have a question on Authorstream… can you help?
I love the service but I want to disable embedding on a private presentation I have. It was disabled but when I turned off the related videos for the embed link, it for some reason stopped saying “Embed disabled by request”. Help!?

  2. Hi,

The embed code, URL etc. are disabled for a private presentation whether related presentations are on or off. You were probably logged in to authorSTREAM in another tab on your browser, which is why you were able to see the embed code. None other than you (the owner of the presentation) will be able to see the embed code in the presentation player or on authorSTREAM if your presentation is private. You can verify this by viewing the presentation player or embed after signing out.
