Use the “Vanishing Spell” in PowerPoint!

Evanesco.

And poof! This wonderful “Vanishing Spell” in Harry Potter series made things disappear literally into oblivion. An absolute godsend in dire situations, the spell was a lethal weapon in hands of mischief makers (read Vanishing Cabinet).

Speaking of the spell, do you remember the scene when Harry wished he knew a good Vanishing Spell to escape his fan Colin’s photograph-clicking spree? Or the time when Bill Weasley used this incantation to make a stack of scrolls disappear while cleaning up after a meeting of the Order of the Phoenix during Harry’s first night at number twelve, Grimmauld Place?

Luckily for presenters, they can create such a magical effect in PowerPoint presentations too! One simple thing is to put the Animation ‘Disappear’ on any object. But that’s way too ordinary.

Way more exciting is when you let objects or text disappear slowly behind an object and later make it appear slowly from behind the same object. Or reappear from behind some other object.
How about you bring a wand to the presentation room, wave it and use the incantation Evanesco when the effect is to occur. Imagine the look on your audience’s face. So magical, right!

Luckily, you don’t have to go to Hogwarts to learn this magical trick. Just watch the presentation below and try it out in your presentation:
